All India Muslim Majlis e Mushawarat District General Secretary and state executive member Mohammad Ishteyaque expressed his deep sorrow and condolences and pays his soulful tribute to the Sad Demise of A.G.Noorani @Abdul Ghafoor Noorani a towering scholar and a leading authority on Constitutional Law and Human Rights jurisprudence.He termed  Noorani death a deeply shocking and irreparable loss to the deprived, suppressed and exploited section of society specially minorities .A.G.Noorani passed away after a prolonged illness, marking the end of an era in the academic and intellectual community. Throughout his remarkable career, A.G.Noorani was a tireless advocate for human rights, social justice, and civil liberties.
He used his exceptional expertise to illuminate the intricate relationship between law and human rights.His unwavering dedication to truth and integrity shone through in his numerous books and scholarly articles, which continue to be essential reading for students, academics, and practitioners. He was such a tall figure that even his staunchest critics couldn’t ignore his immense academic contribution in the field of Constitutional Law.
A.G.Noorani, as a public intellectual, spoke with clarity and reason in a world often clouded by misinformation, propaganda, and prejudice. He dedicated his life to challenging injustice, violence, and communalism, and upholding the principles of secularism and minority rights enshrined in the Constitution. His legacy will inspire generations to come.
A.G.Noorani’s passing away is an irreparable loss to the academic community especially in the field of constitutional studies, human rights and secularism studies and to all who value the pursuit of knowledge and justice. His wisdom, courage, and relentless pursuit of truth will be deeply missed. He was reportedly in the process of putting together a fresh book on the the Supreme Court’s Babri Masjid verdict. He was the only muslim writer who has the courage to write on Kashmir issue honestly.He wrote the book on Babri Masjid demolition.
Abdul Ghafoor Noorani’s most claimed books include The Kashmir Questions, The Kashmir Disputes 1947 to 2012. Destruction of Hyderabad, Biography on Badruddin Tyabji, RSS and Hindutva,Ministers’ Misconduct,Brezhnev’s Plan for Asian Security,The Presidential System,The Trial of Bhagat Singh and Constitutional Questions in India.The Trial of Bhagat Singh became almost compulsory ready for law students.His writings on a varied range of law topics on constitutional matters found their way into Supreme Court rulings.
Mohammad Ishteyaque said he was fearless and straightforward , never bowed to pressures….he was more of a lawyer out of courtrooms.
