आजादी के पहले इसी विधानसभा से गवर्नर सत्येंद्र प्रसन्न सिन्हा ने स्वदेशी उद्योगों को प्रोत्साहित करने की अपील की थी. यहीं नीतीश कुमार की सरकार ने बिहार पंचायती राज जैसे अधिनियम को पास किया है.
– बिहार ने आजाद भारत को डॉ. राजेन्द्र प्रसाद के रूप में पहला राष्ट्रपति दिया है. लोकनायक जयप्रकाश, कर्पूरी ठाकुर और बाबू जगजीवन राम जैसे नेतृत्व इस धरती पर हुए. जब देश में संविधान को कुचलने का प्रयास हुआ, तो भी उसके खिलाफ बिहार ने आगे आकर विरोध का बिगुल फूंका.
– दुनिया के लिए 21वीं सदी भारत की सदी है. हमें इसी सदी में, अगले 25 वर्षों में नए भारत के स्वर्णिम लक्ष्य तक पहुंचना है. इन लक्ष्यों तक हमें हमारे कर्तव्य ही लेकर जाएंगे. इसलिए, यह 25 साल देश के लिए कर्तव्य पथ पर चलने के साल हैं.
