मुजफ्फरपुर : बिहार में ऐसे तो सरकार पूर्ण शराबबंदी का दावा करती है, लेकिन प्रतिदिन राज्य के कई हिस्सों से शराब बरामदगी की खबरें आती हैं. पुलिस और उत्पाद विभाग शराबबंदी को लागू करने के लिए लगातार प्रयासरत हैं, लेकिन माफिया भी शराब छिपाने के तरह-तरह हथकंडे अपनाते हैं. ऐसा ही एक मामला मुजफ्फरपुर के मुशहरी थाना क्षेत्र में सामने आया जब पुलिस ने एक तालाब से 477 लीटर शराब बरामद की.
मुजफ्फरपुर (पूर्वी) के पुलिस उपाधीक्षक मनोज कुमार पांडेय ने बुधवार को बताया कि पुलिस को गुप्त सूचना मिली थी कि गौशाला रोड में पानी भरे एक तालाबनुमा गड्ढे में बड़ी मात्रा में शराब छिपाकर रखी गई है. इसी सूचना के आधार पर मुशहरी थाना प्रभारी के नेतृत्व में एक टीम गठित कर छापेमारी की गई. छापेमारी के दौरान टीम ने पानी के भीतर कीचड़ में छुपाकर रखे लगभग 53 कार्टन यानी करीब 477 लीटर विदेशी शराब बरामद की गई है.
उन्होंने बताया कि शराब की बोतलों को प्लास्टिक के बोरे में रखकर पानी के नीचे 10 फीट कीचड़ में छिपाकर कर रखा गया था. स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से पुलिस ने शराब की बोतलों को पानी से बाहर निकाला. पांडेय ने बताया कि शराब तस्कर का पता लगाया जा रहा है.
इधर, मुजफ्फरपुर जिले के सर्किट हाउस के पास से भी मंगलवार की रात उत्पाद विभाग ने एक ट्रक से 491 कॉर्टन शराब बरामद की है. बरामद शराब की कीमत करीब 50 लाख रुपये आंकी गई है. इस मामले में ट्रक चालक को गिरफ्तार किया गया है. उत्पाद अधीक्षक संजय कुमार राय ने बताया कि गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर रात को जांच के दौरान एक ट्रक से 491 कॉर्टन शराब बरामद की गई है. ट्रक सिलीगुड़ी से छपरा जा रहा था. इस मामले में ट्रक चालक पंजाब के गुरदासपुर निवासी सुखदेव सिंह को गिरफ्तार किया गया है, जिससे पूछताछ की जा रही है.
