मुजफ्फरपुर, कथा सम्राट मुंशी प्रेमचन्द की जन्मजयंती की अवसर पर एल एस कॉलेज के स्नातकोत्तर हिन्दी विभाग में संगोष्ठी का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें संस्कृत, हिन्दी, उर्दू, भोजपुरी और मैथिली विभाग के अध्यापकों सहित हिन्दी विभाग के लगभग 200 की संख्या में छात्र उपस्थित रहे।

संगोष्ठी का विषय प्रवेश कराते हुए विभाग के प्राध्यापक डॉ राजेश्वर कुमार ने कहा कि मुंशी प्रेमचन्द जीवन को समग्रता में देखने वाले साहित्यकार हैं। प्रायः उनके कथा साहित्य के अंतर्वस्तु पक्ष पर चर्चा होती है लेकिन कला की दृष्टि से भी वे उतने ही महत्त्वपूर्ण कथाकार हैं। मुंशी प्रेमचन्द को जबरदस्ती मार्क्सवाद से जोड़ने का प्रयास होता है, वे मूल रूप से गांधीवादी थे।

इस अवसर पर हिन्दी विभाग के अध्यक्ष प्रो प्रमोद कुमार ने संगोष्ठी को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि मुंशी प्रेमचन्द को नए सिरे से व्याख्यायित करने की आवश्यकता है।प्रेमचंद की समग्रता में समझना है तो उन्हें उस कालखंड और गांधी के परिप्रेक्ष्य में समझना होगा।

भोजपुरी विभाग के अध्यक्ष प्रो जयकांत सिंह ने कहा की प्रेमचंद सही अर्थों में भोजपुरी और अवधी क्षेत्र के जातीय साहित्यकार हैं और उनकी पूरी प्रतिबद्धता भारतीयता के प्रति है । संगोष्ठी को संबोधित करते हुए संस्कृत विभाग के अध्यक्ष डा शिवदीपक शर्मा ने कहा कि प्रेमचंद की सहजता ही उनकी सबसे बड़ी ताकत थी। यह सहजता उनके व्यक्तित्व और कृतित्व दोनों में था।

इस अवसर पर संस्कृत विभाग से डा राजीव कुमार, हिन्दी विभाग से डा विजय कुमार सहित दर्जनों छात्रों ने भी संबोधित किया। मंच संचालन का कार्य हिन्दी विभाग के प्राध्यापक डा शिवेंद्र कुमार मौर्य ने और धन्यवाद ज्ञापन डा राधा कुमारी ने किया। इस अवसर पर नवागंतुक छात्रों का अभिनंदन भी किया गया।
