मुजफ्फरपुर : जंक्शन को विश्वस्तरीय बनाने के लिए रेल अधिकारी सोमवार को डीएम प्रणव कुमार से मिले। रेल भूमि विकास प्राधिकरण (आरएलडीए) के जीएम प्रोजेक्ट पीआर सिंह ने डीएम को वह नक्शा दिखाया जिसमें मुजफ्फरपुर जंक्शन को विश्वस्तरीय बनाना है। उन्होंने स्टेशन रोड की नाली और सड़क के चौड़ीकरण से लेकर स्टेशन एरिया में आने वाली भूमि की ओर भी ध्यान आकृष्ट कराया। डीएम ने पूरा सहयोग देने का भरोसा दिया।
डीएम को बताया गया कि स्टेशन पर आने-जाने वाले रेल यात्रियों के लिए पहले फेज में पार्किंग के साथ बस स्टाप बनाने का है। ये सारा कुछ रेलवे परिसर में ही होगी। स्मार्ट सिटी के तहत हो रहे कार्य में भविष्य को देखते हुए रेलवे स्टेशन पर सिटी बस या अन्य चार-पांच बसों के रुकने के लिए मुख्य गेट के पास बस स्टाप बनाने की योजना है। स्टेशन के सभी गेट को बंद कर आने और जाने का केवल दो गेट ही रहेगा। सिटी बस वहां एक मिनट रुकेगी। इससे रेल यात्रियों को ट्रेन पकड़ने में सुविधा होगी। फस्र्ट और सेकंड फ्लोर पर वाहन पार्किंग की व्यवस्था होगी। इसके लिए रैंप भी बनेगा। रैंप से सीधे एक मंजिल पर वाहन पार्किंग कर आगे के हिस्से से स्टेशन की तरफ उतर जाएंगे। टेंडर कार्य प्रोसेस में है।
टूटेंगे रेलवे के पुराने क्वार्टर, ब्रह्मपुरा में होगा शिफ्ट : इसके अलावा स्टेशन के बगल के 14 रेलवे क्वार्टरों को तोड़कर ब्राह्मपुरा रेलवे कालोनी में शिफ्ट किया जाएगा। आरएलडीए के अधिकारियों के साथ सोनपर रेल मंडल के सीनियर कमांडेंट एच श्रीनिवास राव, सीनियर डीईएन-1 मंटु कुमार, स्टेशन डायरेक्टर मनोज कुमार, एईएन दिलीप कुमार आदि अधिकारी शामिल थे।
