मुजफ्फरपुर – मुजफ्फरपुर सिविल कोर्ट कैंपस में कोर्ट हाजत के पूरब स्थित गुप्ता स्वीट्स हाउस पर खाद्य निरीक्षक ने 16 फरवरी आज छापेमारी की। छापेमारी में यह पाया गया कि होटल बिना लाइसेंस के चल रहा है तथा होटल में मानकों का पालन बिल्कुल ही नहीं किया जा रहा है। खाद्य निरीक्षक ने कहा कि जबतक होटल को लाइसेंस नहीं मिल जाता, तब तक होटल बंद रहेगा। खाद्य निरीक्षक ने मिडिया को दिए बयान में बताया कि तत्काल प्रभाव से होटल को सील कर दिया गया है।

विदित हो कि सिविल कोर्ट कैंपस में दूर-दराज से आने वाले मोवक्कील, अधिवक्ता एवं कोर्ट के कर्मी काफी संख्या में इस होटल में चाय – नास्ता व भोजन करते थे, लेकिन इधर कुछ महीने से यह देखा जा रहा था कि इस होटल में मिलावटी सामानों का धड़ल्ले से उपयोग किया जा रहा था, जिससे लोग काफी संख्या में बीमार पड़ रहे थे। इसकी शिकायत अधिवक्ताओं ने संयुक्त रुप से सिविल सर्जन मुजफ्फरपुर से की थी। अपनी शिकायत में अधिवक्ताओं ने यह भी बताया था कि होटल प्रबंधन द्वारा बाल श्रम कानून का भी धड़ल्ले से धज्जियाँ उड़ाया जा रहा है और छोटे – छोटे बच्चों को होटल में काम पर लगाया गया है, साथ-ही-साथ खाद्य सामग्रीयाँ खुले में चौकी लगाकर बेची जा रही हैं, जिससे खाद्य सामग्रीयों पर धुल की मोटी परत देखने को मिल रही है तथा आये दिन होटल प्रबंधन द्वारा विषाक्त भोजन भी ग्राहको को परोसा जा रहा है।
उक्त शिकायत-पत्र के आलोक में सिविल सर्जन द्वारा खाद्य निरीक्षक सुदामा चौधरी को जाँचकर अविलम्ब कार्रवाई करने का आदेश दिया गया था, जिस पर खाद्य निरीक्षक द्वारा यह कार्रवाई की गई है। जाँच पदाधिकारी होटल की जाँच के दौरान किचन की स्थिति को देखकर दंग रह गए। किचन में गंदगी का अंबार था। जाँच टीम के द्वारा होटल के संदिग्ध सामानों को प्रयोगशाला में जाँच के लिए ले जाया गया।
