मुंबई। बॉलीवुड के शहंशाह अमिताभ बच्चन ने पान मसाला ब्रांड कमला पसंद के साथ अपना करार खत्म कर दिया है। बता दें कि अमिताभ के इस एड का काफी विरोध हो रहा था। अमिताभ बच्चन का कहना है कि उन्हें इस बात की जानकारी नहीं थी कि यह सरोगेट विज्ञापन के अंतर्गत आता है।

अमिताभ के ऑफिस की ओर से जारी एक बयान में कहा गया है कि कमला पसंद विज्ञापन प्रसारित होने के कुछ दिनों बाद, श्री बच्चन ने ब्रांड से संपर्क किया और पिछले हफ्ते अनुबंध से बाहर निकल गए हैं।

इस अचानक कदम की जाँच करने पर यह पता चला कि जब श्री बच्चन ब्रांड से जुड़े थे, तो उन्हें पता नहीं था कि यह सरोगेट विज्ञापन के अंतर्गत आता है। अमिताभ के कार्यालय के बयान आगे कहा गया है कि श्री बच्चन ने ब्रांड के साथ अनुबंध समाप्त कर दिया है, उन्हें अपनी समाप्ति के लिए एक पत्र लिखा है और प्रचार के लिए हासिल रकम को वापस कर दिया है।
