जम्मू-कश्मीर के श्रीनगर में एकबार फिर आतंकियों ने जवानों को निशाना बनाया है. उन्होंने श्रीनगर के जीवान इलाके में सशस्त्र पुलिस की 9वीं बटालियन पर हमला किया. इस हमले में तीन जवान शहीद हो गए हैं और 11 घायल हैं, जिनमें से 2 की स्थिति गंभीर बनी हुई है. सभी घायलों को आनन-फानन में नजदीकी अस्पताल में भर्ती करवाया गया है. इस हमले की जिम्मेदारी आतंकी संगठन कश्मीर टाइगर्स ने ली है.
बताया गया है कि आतंकियों ने जवानों पर उस समय हमला किया जब वे बस से यात्रा कर रह रहे थे. एक अधिकारी ने बताया कि पंथा चौक-खोनमोह मार्ग पर भारतीय रिजर्व पुलिस (आईआरपी) की 9वीं बटालियन के वाहन पर आतंकियों ने अंधाधुंध फायरिंग की. फायरिंग में कई पुलिसकर्मी घायल हो गए, जिनमें चार की हालत गंभीर बताई जा रही है. उन्होंने कहा, ‘सभी घायलों को इलाज के लिए अस्पताल भेजा गया है. इलाके की घेराबंदी कर दी गई है और हमलावरों को पकड़ने के लिए बड़े पैमाने पर तलाशी शुरू की गई है.’

आतंकवादी पिछले कई महीनों से जवानों को निशाना बना रहे हैं. अभी हाल ही में जम्मू-कश्मीर के पुलिस महानिदेशक (डीजीपी) दिलबाग सिंह ने कहा था कि पुलिस आतंकवादियों से लोगों की रक्षा के लिए काम कर रही है. पुलिस और सेना, बीएसएफ (सीमा सुरक्षा बल), सीआरपीएफ (केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल) के हमारे जवान संयुक्त रूप से आतंकवादियों को दूर रख रहे हैं. यही उनकी (आतंकवादियों) हताशा है जिसकी वजह से ये हत्याएं हो रही हैं. हम उनको जवाब देंगे.
उत्तरी कश्मीर में आतंकवादियों की मौजूदगी के बारे में सिंह ने कहा था कि कुछ स्थानों पर पाकिस्तान द्वारा हाल में घुसपैठ हुई और कुछ पाकिस्तानी चरमपंथी सीमा के इस पार घुसपैठ कर आए हैं. आतंकवादी हमारे निशाने पर है और आपने देखा कि उनमें से कुछ अभियान में मारे गए. मुझे उम्मीद है कि पाकिस्तानी आतंकवादियों को जिन्होंने हाल में घुसपैठ की है जल्द ही निष्क्रिय कर दिया जाएगा क्योंकि उनके खिलाफ अभियान चल रहा है. पाकिस्तान का आतंकवादियों को प्रायोजित करने का मुख्य मकसद किसी की हत्या करना और लोगों के जीवन और उनकी संपत्ति को क्षति पहुंचाना है.
