लोगों को पेयजल संकट
ठीक करने के बाद इन दोनों जलापूर्ति पंप को चालू किया ही गया था कि रविवार को मारवाड़ी हाई स्कूल परिसर में लगा पंप का मोटर जल गया. हालांकि, शिकायत के तुरंत बाद कार्रवाई करते हुए जल कार्य शाखा ने मारवाड़ी पंप के मोटर को बदल सोमवार की दोपहर में ही चालू कर दिया. इससे जिन लोगों को पेयजल संकट की समस्या से जूझना पड़ रहा था, उन्हें पंप के चालू होने से बड़ी राहत मिली है.
अप्रैल में एक साथ कई जलापूर्ति पंप में जोड़ना होगा पाइप
शहर के कई पुराने जलापूर्ति पंप हैं, जिससे बड़ी आबादी को पानी मिलता है. उन जलापूर्ति पंपों में आने वाले एक सप्ताह से 15 दिनों के बीच में अतिरिक्त पाइप जोड़ना पड़ेगा. इसका कारण तेजी से भू-जलस्तर का नीचे जाना बताया जा रहा है. हालांकि, अभी तक यह नौबत शहर के किसी भी पंप में नहीं आयी है. जल कार्य शाखा के कर्मियों एवं पाइपलाइन इंस्पेक्टर का कहना है कि जिस तरीके से जलस्तर नीचे जा रहा है, हर हाल में तीन से आठ फुट तक का अतिरिक्त पाइप जोड़ना होगा.
ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में सबसे ज्यादा सकरा का गिरा भू-जलस्तर
शहर के बाद सबसे ज्यादा भू-जलस्तर ग्रामीण क्षेत्र के सकरा प्रखंड में गिरा है. सकरा के दुबहा व मझौलिया बाजार के आसपास के इलाके में सबसे ज्यादा लगभग 20 फुट नीचे जलस्तर चला गया है. इसके बाद चंदनपट्टी, केशोपुर का जलस्तर 17 फुट के आसपास है.
सरमस्तपुर में 16 फुट नीचे जलस्तर
सरमस्तपुर में 16 फुट नीचे जलस्तर बताया जा रहा है. हालांकि, पिछले दो सालों की तुलना में जलस्तर अभी काफी कम नीचे गया है. पीएचइडी के कार्यपालक अभियंता डेविड कुमार चतुर्वेदी ने बताया कि 2020 व 21 में काफी नीचे जलस्तर चला गया था. लोगों को काफी परेशानी हुई थी. इस साल भी तेजी से जलस्तर नीचे जा रहा है, लेकिन लोगों की परेशानी अभी उतनी नहीं है, जितनी दो साल पहले हुई थी.
