मुजफ्फरपुर, डीआरआइ और कस्टम की विशेष टीम ने गायघाट मैठी टोल प्लाजा के पास एक कार के इंजन में बने तहखाना से 35 सोने के बिस्किट बरामद किए हैैं। बाजार में इसकी कीमत करीब तीन करोड़ रुपये आंकी गई है। इस दौरान तीन तस्करों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। इनके तार अंतरराज्यीय गिरोह से जुड़े हैैं। साथ ही दूसरे देशों में सक्रिय तस्करों से भी नेटवर्क है। टीम ने कार सहित सभी को डीआरआइ कार्यालय लाकर पूछताछ की और निशानदेही पर आगे की कार्रवाई कर रही है।
बताया गया कि वरीय अधिकारियों को गुप्त सूचना मिली कि म्यांमार से तस्करी का सोना गुवाहाटी से बनारस वाया मुजफ्फरपुर होते कार से लाया जा रहा है। इस पर डीआरआइ व कस्टम की विशेष टीम ने संयुक्त रूप से कार्रवाई कर उक्त कार को जब्त कर लिया। पूछताछ में तस्करों ने पहले इन्कार किया। तलाशी लेने पर कार के इंजन में बने तहखाना से सोने के 35 बिस्किट जब्त किए गए। इन पर विदेशी मार्का अंकित है। साथ ही सभी बिस्किट पर नंबर अंकित है जो तस्कर ही इस्तेमाल करते हैं।
अधिकारियों ने बतया कि गिरफ्तार तीन आरोपितों में दो उत्तर प्रदेश और एक दिल्ली का रहने वाला है। पूछताछ में कई तस्करों के नाम सामने आए हैं। इस पर संयुक्त विशेष टीम कार्रवाई कर रही है। पूछताछ में पता चला कि उक्त सोने के बिस्किट बनारस पहुंचाने थे। पूर्व में भी तस्करी कर सोना पहुंचाने का काम किया जा चुका है। जब्त की गई कार पर प्रेस लिखा था ताकि रास्ते में पुलिस की जांच से बच सकें। डीआरआइ अधिकारियों ने बताया कि सभी को न्यायिक हिरासत में भेजने की कवायद की जा रही है।
बता दें कि कुछ दिनों पहले दिल्ली में भी डीआरआइ की टीम ने तस्करी कर लाए गए सोने के बिस्किट जब्त किए थे। चार दिन पहले दिल्ली डीआरआइ की सूचना पर स्थानीय टीम ने मनियारी टोल प्लाजा के पास से दो क्विंटल 60 किलो चांदी भी जब्त की थी। इस दौरान दो तस्करों को पकड़ा गया था। पूछताछ के बाद गरीबस्थान मंदिर रोड इलाके की दो आभूषण दुकानों पर जांच की गई थी। इसके बाद तीन आभूषण कारोबारियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया था। पूरे मामले में पांच आरोपितों को जेल भेजा जा चुका है।
