पटना. बच्चों पर कोवैक्सीन के ट्रायल की अनुमति पटना एम्स को मिल गई है. एम्स में इसी माह के अंत तक 2 से 18 साल तक के बच्चों का वैक्सीन ट्रायल शुरू होगा जिसको लेकर एम्स प्रशासन ने तैयारी शुरू कर दी है. इसके लिए चाइल्ड स्पेशलिस्ट की कमिटी के गठन बजी कर लिया गया है. एम्स के नोडल ऑफिसर डॉ संजीव ने न्यूज़ 18 से एक्सक्लूसिव बातचीत में कहा कि कोवैक्सीन का पहला ट्रायल भी पटना एम्स में ही हुआ था और उस अनुभव का फायदा एम्स को मिलेगा.
मिली जानकारी के अनुसार सब्जेक्ट एक्सपर्ट कमेटी ने भारत बायोटेक के कोविड-19 टीके कोवैक्सीन (Covid-19 Covaxin) के दूसरे और तीसरे चरण (Second And Third Wave) के लिए ट्रायल की सिफारिश की थी, जिसके बाद अब इसके ट्रायल की मंजूरी मिल गई है. डॉ संजीव ने कहा कि डीजीसीआई से ट्रायल की हरी झंडी मिलते ही भारत बायोटेक ने पटना एम्स को अनुमति दी है.
थर्ड वेव में बच्चों पर खतरा!
डॉ संजीव के अनुसार 2 से 18 साल तक के 1000 से 2000 बच्चों पर ट्रायल होगा जिसको लेकर एम्स प्रशासन ने अभिभावकों से बच्चों को ट्रायल में शामिल करने की अपील भी की. दरअसल एक्सपर्ट्स ने अंदेशा जताया है कि अगर कोरोना की तीसरी लहर (Third Wave) आती है, तो वो बच्चों के लिए बेहद खतरनाक हो सकती है.
पहले भी हो चुका है ट्रायल
गौरतलब है कि भारत बायोटेक ने आइसीएमआर (ICMR) के साथ मिलकर कोवैक्सीन (Covaxin) को विकसित किया है. कंपनी इसकी प्रोडक्शन और मार्केटिंग भी कर रही है. बता दें कि पटना एम्स में बीते साल कोरोना के कहर के दौरान वयस्कों के लिए वैक्सीन का तीन चरणों में ट्रायल किया गया था. एम्स में किए गए ट्रायल के तहत पटना एम्स में पहले चरण में 46 लोगों पर वैक्सीन का ट्रायल किया गया था. दूसरे चरण में 48 लोगों पर वैक्सीन का ट्रायल किया गया था. दोनों परीक्षण पूरी तरह से सफल रहे थे.
