आम तौर पर बच्चे अपने मां बाप को मुखाग्नि देते हैं। बेटे नहीं हो तो बेटी यह फर्ज निभाती है। लेकिन बिहार की मोक्षनगरी गयाजी में इसका उलटा हुआ। एक विवाहित बेटी को उसी मां ने मुखाग्नि देकर अंतिम संस्कार किया। मृतका का पति जिंदा है फिर भी मां को यह फर्ज अदा करना पड़ा। यह देखकर गया के विष्णुबद श्मशान घाट पर मौजूद सभी लोगों की आंखें नम हो गई। दरअसल यह मामला ससुराल में विवाहिता की हत्या का है।

दरअसल दिल्ली में रहने वाली सपना चौधरी की शादी 6 साल पहले विष्णुपद थाना क्षेत्र के चांदचौरा मोहल्ले के रहने वाले हेमंत चौधरी उर्फ डब्बू चौधरी से हुई थी। गयाजी स्थित ससुराल में सपना की मौत गुरुवार को हो गई थी। मायके वालों की शिकायत पर पुलिस ने सपना का शव हेमंत के घर से बरामद किया था।

जांच में पता चला कि सपना के गले में गहरे नीले निशान थे और बदन पर भी कई जगह चोट के निशान भी थे। पति-पत्नी के बीच एक-दूसरे की केयर ना करने को लेकर अनबन चल रही थी। आरोप यह भी था कि सपना के मायके वाले हस्ताक्षेप करते हैं। इसे लेकर बीते दो वर्ष से दोनों के संबंध ठीक नहीं चल रहे थे। सपना की मौत के समय उसकी
3 साल की बच्ची दूसरे कमरे में सो रही थी। सपना के मारे जाने की भनक उसकी मां को दिल्ली में लग गई।

सपना की मां सावित्री देवी ने आरोप लगाया है कि उसके ससुराल वालों सपना की हत्या की है। मां के बयान पर
कार्रवाई करते पुलिस ने हेमंत चौधरी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया था। इस बीच
दिल्ली से मृतका की मां सावित्री देवी भी गया पहुंच गईं। शव के पोस्टमार्टम के बाद पुलिस ने शुक्रवार को शव परिजनों
को सौंपना चाहा तो मायके और ससुराल पक्ष के बीच शव को लेने और दाह संस्कार के लिए बहस शुरू हो गई। पुलिस
ने मायके वालों को ही शव हस्तगत कराया।

स्थानीय लोगों की पहल पर सपना का शव उसकी मां को सौंप दिया गया। मायके वाले शव को श्मशान घाट पर लेकर
आए। जब मुखाग्नि देने की बात आई तो मां सावित्री ने आगे बढ़ कर कहा कि मुखाग्नि तो मैं ही दूंगी। मां द्वारा बेटी
को मुखाग्नि देने की बात सुनकर मौजूद ब्राह्मण और अन्य लोग आश्चर्य में पड़ गए। लेकिन दूसरे पल ही सावित्री को
कहा गया कि आपके और भी बच्चे हैं। उनसे मुखाग्नि दिलवा दीजिए, लेकिन सावित्री देवी नहीं मानीं। इसके बाद उन्हें
बिना सिले हुए वस्त्र पहनाए गए और वैदिक रीति रिवाज से अपनी बेटी को सावित्री देवी ने मुखाग्नि दी।
